Transformative Simulation SIG

Purpose

The purpose of the Transformative Simulation SIG is to bring together an inclusive and collaborative community of individuals interested in the study, application, and development of Transformative Simulation.

The group welcomes service users, simulation technicians, educators, practitioners, subject-matter experts, industry partners, researchers, and leaders who wish to contribute to the ongoing development of the field.

Through this community of practice, members will share insights, examples, and emerging knowledge in order to strengthen understanding, advance scholarship, and support the evolving use of Transformative Simulation.

Objectives

The Transformative Simulation SIG aims to:

• Develop and share knowledge relating to the theory and practice of Transformative Simulation

• Create opportunities for collaboration, discussion, and exchange of ideas among members

• Support the development of scholarship and research in Transformative Simulation

• Showcase practical applications and case studies that demonstrate the impact of Transformative Simulation

• Contribute to the wider work and strategic priorities of ASPiH

Activities

Activities of the SIG may include:

• Facilitating meetings, workshops, and discussions among members

• Sharing resources, publications, and case studies related to Transformative Simulation

• Supporting collaborative research and scholarship

• Contributing to conference sessions, webinars, or events linked to Transformative Simulation

• Developing guidance or outputs that support the advancement of the field

Membership

The Transformative Simulation SIG is open to anyone with an interest in Transformative Simulation.

Participation in the SIG is open to both members and non-members of ASPiH. However, individuals are encouraged to become ASPiH members in order to access the full range of resources, events, and opportunities available through the association.

Governance

The SIG will be chaired by a member of the ASPiH community and will work in collaboration with a designated member of the ASPiH Executive Committee to ensure alignment with the wider activities and priorities of the association.

This template is designed to support reflection on the design and delivery of Transformative Simulation in response to, or anticipation of, particular challenges to facilitate shared learning and development of best practice.
