ASPiH SimConverse AI Development Grants 2025

Award

ASPiH, in conjunction with our AI sponsor SimConverse, are inviting members to apply for an AI development grant. SimConverse are keen to support the wider adoption of AI technologies across the UK and Ireland and have created a £10,000 development fund to support your endeavours.

An AI development grant will support ASPiH members to design, test and implement new ways of working which utilises AI or it could support members to evaluate the benefits and opportunities that AI holds for their organisation.

Process

Applications for the grant are open from 7th November until 31st December 2025. We hope to inform applicants of the outcome of their application in early 2026.

Information required includes: applicant details; a project summary (<150 words); a project description (<1,000 words); a description of any ethical, intellectually property, or data protection issues (<200 words), dates and schedules for the project; financial costs breakdown; and an application declaration.

The ASPiH Executive Committee will appoint a panel to review applications. Successful applicants will be announced as part of a dedicated webinar in early 2026, they will also be invited to be part of an AI showcase event at the ASPiH 2026 conference.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a members of ASPiH and remain so for the period the grant is awarded.

Our priorities

The grants should align with at least one of the ASPiH core values of: (i) safety; (ii) equity, diversity, and inclusion; (iii) sustainability; or (iv) excellence.

Selection of projects

On receipt of a completed application, the proposed project will be scrutinised by a panel of ASPiH executive members and external advisors, where appropriate.

Terms and Conditions

Successful applicants will be required to provide an end of project which states how the funds were used and what benefits resulted. Grant awardees must inform ASPiH of any interruptions to the project. ASPiH should be provided with details of all individuals being supported under its grant and notified of any change in personnel. ASPiH reserves the right to review the grant in the event of such a change.

Ethical Approval

Evidence of Ethical Committee approval will be required, if appropriate, before the transfer of funds.

Intellectual Property

The intellectual property resides with the development team and if there is ay possible commercialisation then this needs to be discussed with a representative from SimConverse as the fund provider.

Acknowledgements and Publicity

ASPiH is dependent on voluntary support from its members and the public and needs to keep them informed on the progress of the project. Successful applicants will be asked to help with appropriate publicity and to inform ASPiH in advance of any publication arising from the research/projects it supports in order that ASPiH may consider the publicity potential.

ASPiH’s support should be acknowledged in all publications and spoken presentations and, when possible, in talks and interviews.

The lead applicant should complete and sign the declaration confirming their agreement to the above Terms and Conditions of the Grant and return the form with their completed application.
