This document is the result of a 2-year programme to develop a National Standards Framework for
Simulation-based Education (SBE). Following the earlier National Simulation Development Project,
Health Education England (HEE) recognised the need for standards in this field and part-funded the
Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH) to produce an initial draft document that has
been further developed into this final framework through consultation, research and expert input.

This is the summary report from the first ASPiH National Simulation scoping exercise sponsored by HEA and Health Education England.
Further reports and data will appear in 2015 and ASPiH are also supporting the development of the TECHNOLOGY ENHANCED LEARNING (TEL) Hub with data on simulation resources by region
